Prohibited and restricted items
A practical guide to what can and can't be sent. This doesn't replace official customs rules — if in doubt, ask us before handing over a shipment.
Not accepted for international transport via private or commercial channels.
- Narcotic and psychotropic substances
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives and pyrotechnics
- Counterfeit money, fakes and brand knock-offs
- Pornography and 18+ items
- Protected animals and plants (CITES)
- Mercury, acids, toxic and hazardous substances
- Waste and industrial scrap
- Fresh fruit, vegetables and animal-origin products (import to Russia)
- Drones and cryptographic devices (import to Russia)
- Alcohol, cigarettes and tobacco for individuals (import to Russia, B2C)
- Cultural valuables without a permit (icons, paintings, books over 50 years old)
- Passports, personal documents and cash (only via flight attendants)
May be sent after approval — the rules depend on the item, route and transport method.
- Items with lithium batteries (battery installed in the device)
- Auto parts (no air transport if they contain oil, petrol, freon or accumulators)
- Radio communication devices (a frequency permit may be requested)
- Bladed weapons (only with a blade up to 90 mm)
- Wooden items (species check and export certificate)
- Cosmetics and perfume (up to 5 units, for personal use; alcohol-based — no air)
- Smart gadgets and trackers (import restrictions to Russia possible)
Accepted with correct documents and within restrictions.
- Buddha images, antiques and art (Department of Fine Arts permit — we'll help arrange it)
- Alcohol, cigarettes and tobacco (only with a license and as B2B)
- Medicines (up to 5 packs, for personal use; psychotropics — by prescription only)
- Commercial goods (documents for the goods)
- Branded goods (proof of authenticity)
The lists are indicative and not exhaustive. Whether an item can actually be sent depends on the destination country, the transport method, the item's composition and the requirements of the carrier or customs. We don't give absolute legal guarantees for a specific item.
Items with lithium batteries
The key rule: the battery must be installed in the device. Standalone batteries and power banks are not accepted.
Can be sent
- Phones, laptops and tablets
- Cameras, headphones and smartwatches
- Electric shavers and game consoles with a built-in battery
- Any device where the battery is part of it (UN3481, UN3091, UN3552)
Cannot be sent
- Standalone accumulators and spare batteries
- Power banks and external batteries
- Replaceable tool batteries
- Sodium-ion batteries (UN3480, UN3090, UN3551)
If you're unsure of the battery type, send us a photo and description of the item before shipping.
For urgent and non-standard cases, delivery via flight attendants is sometimes possible — check with your manager.
