Cookie Policy
This document explains which cookies, localStorage and similar technologies the asiagologistics.com website actually uses, what they are for and how to manage your choice.
Version 2.0 · effective from 2 July 2026 · updated 2 July 2026
1. About this document
The list below is based on a factual audit of the website's code and reflects the technologies actually in use. The controller is AsiaGO Company Limited (see the details in the Privacy Policy). For data processing in general, read the Privacy Policy (the /privacy page).
2. Cookies, localStorage and similar technologies
Cookies are small records that a server or a script saves in the browser and that are then automatically sent along with requests to the site. localStorage is browser storage: its data is not sent anywhere automatically and is available only to pages of this site. “Similar technologies” are other on-device storage mechanisms.
A key point about our website: it sets no cookies of its own at all. Only three localStorage keys are used, and cookies appear only from the analytics provider — and only if analytics is enabled and you have consented.
3. What the site actually uses
| Key | Technology | Set by | Purpose | Category | Duration | Required |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ag_consent | localStorage | AsiaGo (first-party) | Stores your analytics choice (“Accept” / “Essential only”) | Strictly necessary (consent mechanism) | Until you delete it or change your choice | Yes — otherwise the choice cannot be remembered |
| ag_first_touch | localStorage | AsiaGo (first-party) | First traffic source: landing page (without the query string), referrer, UTM tags, time | Attribution | Until you clear the site data | Created upon an action in the calculator; sent to no one but us |
| ag_last_touch | localStorage | AsiaGo (first-party) | Latest campaign-tagged traffic source (same composition) | Attribution | Until you clear the site data | As above |
| _ga, _ga_* and other analytics cookies | cookie | Google (third party) | Website usage statistics | Analytics (optional) | Per Google's rules, typically up to 2 years | No — only after your consent and only if analytics is enabled |
The exact set of analytics cookies depends on the analytics provider and its settings; such cookies are not created until analytics is enabled and you have agreed. There are no advertising or marketing cookies on the site. sessionStorage is not used.
4. Categories
- Strictly necessary: the ag_consent key — without it your refusal of analytics could not be remembered and the question would be asked on every visit. Cannot be switched off.
- Attribution (first-party): ag_first_touch and ag_last_touch. Written when you proceed with a quote (continuing to a messenger or saving) and sent to us only together with the created quote. Used to evaluate acquisition channels; no advertising profiles are built and no data is shared with third parties.
- Analytics (optional): Google Analytics / Tag Manager cookies — only when analytics is enabled and you have consented.
5. Analytics (Google Analytics / Tag Manager)
Whether analytics is connected is controlled by the site configuration. If analytics is not configured, no scripts load and no consent banner is shown: there is nothing to ask about. If it is configured, no scripts load until you choose; “Accept” enables analytics, “Essential only” records the refusal.
Analytics events carry only a limited set of fields: page path, page type, language, non-identifying quote parameters (destination, mode, shipment type), Quote ID and the name of the clicked button. Weight, dimensions, IP address and contact details are not sent to analytics.
6. Consent and managing your choice
You can change your choice at any time: the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer reopens the banner (the link and the banner appear only when analytics is configured for the site — otherwise there is nothing to choose). The choice is stored in your browser and is not asked again when you switch the site language. Continuing to browse or scrolling is not treated as consent; there are no pre-ticked boxes.
7. Managing via the browser
You can delete cookies and localStorage in your browser settings (clearing site data). This resets the saved analytics choice and the attribution data. Blocking storage does not prevent you from browsing the site, but your choice will not be remembered.
8. Changes and contact
If the set of technologies changes, we will update this document and the table; the version and dates are shown at the top of the page. Questions: info@asiagologistics.com.
